Meet The Team

Lauren Mendicino, D.D.S.

A proud Colorado native, Dr. Lauren Mendicino is thrilled to be practicing in the Boulder community she calls home. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in Biology and Spanish Literature. She then returned to Colorado to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Lauren is passionate about dentistry and is committed to helping her patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Known for her warm and welcoming personality, she strives to make every patient feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.

Outside of the office, Dr. Lauren loves taking full advantage of Colorado’s natural beauty. She enjoys skiing in the winter, hiking and climbing 14ers in the summer, and spending time outdoors with her husband, Luke, her daughter, Ivy, and their lovable dog, Daphne - who occasionally stops by the office. She also cherishes quality time with friends and family and is always up for a good meal or a weekend adventure.

Dr. Mendicino is excited to give back to the community by promoting better health through compassionate dental care.

Lauren, Office Manager

Meet our second Lauren.. Often mistaken for Dr. Mendicino on the phone! Graduating from Northern Arizona University in 2020 with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Event Planning, Lauren brings her top-notch organization skills and passion for helping others to our dental family. Having grown up with Dr. Mendicino, she brings a unique blend of trust, history, and heart to everything she does here.
At the front desk, Lauren is your go-to for everything from scheduling appointments to filing insurance claims—making sure your visit is as smooth and stress-free as possible. She also has a knack for decorating and loves adding cheerful seasonal touches to the office.
Outside of work, you’ll find her hiking the trails with her mini dachshund, Moose, or spending time with her friends and family. Friendly, efficient, and always ready with a smile, Lauren helps make our office feel like home!

Ashley, Assistant

Ashley is a Public Health graduate from Augustana College (2022) and the University of Colorado Anschutz (2024), where she developed a deep understanding of health promotion, prevention, and community well-being.

With a passion for improving public health, Ashley is excited to bring that knowledge to the dental field, focusing on patient education and care. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys coaching softball, mastering latte art and spending time with her dog, Gus, and boyfriend. Always looking for new ways to connect with people, Ashley is eager to make a positive impact in dental care, helping others smile brighter and live healthier lives.

Pop, Assistant

Jess goes by her middle name POP! As in POP crackle, POP tart, POP goes the weasel (you get the picture).

Poppy hails from the bread basket state of Iowa and moved west for the Rocky mountains. In her spare time she can be found reading a book - actually, a stack of books. She also loves spending time with her pup Boogie and her in house chef, Kevin.

If you are in Poppin's care, you will find her super bubbly, patient, kind and caring. She is also our in house lab tech. Pop Diddy hopes to learn how to rock climb and master the art of sous chef role for Kevin.

An avid dog lover, Pop will discuss anything canine related!

Amy, Hygienist

Amy is a Jersey girl but inspired by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, she moved her family to Colorado. She is a marathoner, hiker, biker, climber, skier, pretty much anything with an -er!
She is a do-er!

The entire family has Springsteen's motto of "Born to Run" and have done the Disney Marathon together for almost two decades. This is in honor of Team Danny in the Parents for Muscular Dystrophy fundraiser. Amy is an avid reader and believes in the mantra "WORK hard, PLAY harder."

Kiana, Hygienist

Kiana is a Colorado native who loves java and exploring new coffee shops, hanging with family, friends and traveling. She also enjoys being a dog mama to Wesley!

Kiana studied in Nashville, and is happy to be home but misses the live music and great food of Tennessee. Her favorite color is yellow and that color choice matches her sunny disposition.

Daphne, Office Dog

Hi there! I'm Daphne, the Official Office Pup who occasionally makes an appearance🐾 Woof! I'm the four-legged team member here and my job is super important—spreading love, calm vibes, and a little tail-wagging joy to all our amazing patients.
I love belly rubs, ear scratches, and making new friends (especially the ones who give treats 👀). Whether you’re feeling nervous about your visit or just need a furry face to brighten your day, I’m here to help you feel more at ease. You’ll usually find me lounging in Dr. Lauren’s office, offering snuggles, and soaking up the love from anyone who needs it.
